Bar Refaeli covers Maxim Magazine

Super hot Bar Refaeli takes the cover of Maxim magazine’s September 2012 issue. 27-year-old babe shows her incredible body on cover page wearing hot black bikini.

Check out some excerpts from her interview with mag:
On being voted to number one: “It doesn’t feel real, because I still can’t believe it. I feel like someone’s going to call and tell me there’s been a mistake.”
On not getting asked out much: “It’s true, and I think part of the reason is that I’m not out much. I’m usually at a photo shoot or going to sleep early. I don’t really have a chance to meet people other than businessmen on planes. They’re all married and much older, though.”
On her favorite body part: “My stomach is hard, and I’m very proud of it. I still eat, though. To me that’s one of the best things in life.”
On how guys should approach her: “If someone is funny, he should say something funny. If someone is sweet and gentle, he should talk that way. Just be yourself. I don’t like when guys act too cool for school. Like, the other day I was the airport, and there was a cute guy who I saw notice me. But instead of coming up to me, he put his head down and started texting to appear like, ‘Oh, I didn’t even see you!’ I was like, ‘If you really were cool, you’d just be yourself and talk to me.’”

On the most important thing men should know about the opposite sex: “If you can’t understand them, just give them a hug. That always works.”
On Twitter: “I love to tweet. I’m in a battle with myself to get more followers. I even make bets with myself on when I’m going to reach what number. I tweet in English and Hebrew because I’ll get lots of messages saying, ‘Yo, start talking Hebrew! Talk to us in our own language!’”

Boris and Nicole – Love Never Looked This Good

The headline on this week’s cover story reads “Love Never Looked So Good,” which makes perfect sense in relation to our cover subjects. It’s no secret that Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker are blessed with freakishly good looks — almost as if they were genetically created in a lab to mate and create a master race.

Tika Sumpter Covers Rolling Out

Stunning actress Tika Sumpter sparkles in Rolling Out just in time for her movieSparkle that features the late musical legend Whitney Houston.
Rolling Out described the actress as one who represents the new wave of fresh black talent that is primed and ready to show the world that true talent comes in all colors, shapes and sizes. In Sumpter, we found both the present and the future — which made our photo shoot and interview with her that much more enjoyable.

Peep some of the Q & A from her interview:
One of our first encounters with you was on “Gossip Girls.” How different was the experience of Sparkle with its all-black cast?
First off, I just want to say that I am very thankful for the opportunity that I received with “Gossip Girls.” To me though, acting is just acting. I honestly don’t like saying a black film, because on the flip side, we don’t call then white films. At the end of the day, when they say action, we all have to do the same job.
How did you channel your character Delores in the movie Sparkle?
I’m grateful to [screenwriter] Mara Brock Akil, because she expanded the role of Delores. I definitely think there is some of me in the character … she is a protector and a strong person, which mirrors my own personality a lot. The great thing about the role, is that I was able to really take chances and expand upon who Delores was in the original.

Describe the experience on set, and the chemistry that you had with your castmates.
It was an amazing experience. It really felt like we were a family working toward a common goal. Every part of that experience is something that I will keep with me for the rest of my life.
After being in the industry for a few years now, what is the one thing that you know about yourself that you didn’t know before?
Well, I know that I’m enough, and that I have something to offer the world. I guess now that I’ve grown up and gotten a little older, I know what I want, and I know what I want in a mate and I’m able to say it.  I’m not one to beat around the bush anymore. There was a time when I was so concerned about hurting people’s feelings, but it’s not that way anymore. While I still care about people’s feelings, I understand the importance of being able to express exactly what I want, and exactly how I’m feeling.
The entertainment industry can be extremely hectic. How do you block everything out, so that you can just focus on yourself?
Being that the industry is so crazy, some of the things that I do to just chill out and reflect. I’m kind of a loner… I love to be at home, where I can just shut everything out and either read or meditate. Sometimes, I just can’t be connected every minute and every second of the day, so I just turn off all of the electronics, and just focus on removing myself from the stress and the busyness of the world.
After seeing these pictures, and reading your spread, what do you hope that our readers walk away with?
I just hope that they are able to get the essence of who I am as a woman. I’ve worked really hard to be where I’m at today, and I still have a long way to go. But from this experience, I hope they see a person who works hard, but still appreciates the little things in life. I really enjoyed this experience, and I hope that comes across in this piece. I’m excited.

Zoe Saldana Covers GOTHAM Magazine

Fashion forward actress Zoe Saldana is covering the September issue of GOTHAM Magazine where she reveals her favorite garments, her first fashion memory and talks about other fab actresses with style.
Here are some of the deets from her interview with the mag:

On her first memory of fashion:
"My grandmother and great grandmother were seamstresses their whole lives, so when my grandmother moved to New York in the '60s, she worked for design houses throughout the city. She really loved fabrics and textiles, so it was natural to my family. Fashion wasn't like a religion to us, but it is in my ancestry. It was never about luxury; it was about art."

On the favorite piece of clothing she owns:
"There's this Azzedine Alaia dress I have that makes me feel like I am collecting art. Collecting from certain designers is like collecting art and will always remain as memorable as the very first Chanel bag that I bought myself.

On her contemporaries with a kindred sense of style:
"Sienna Miller, Julianne Moore, these kind of effortless beauties. Diane Kruger. I just love looking at their styles and feeling inspired by their choices."

On what she's looking forward to in the next year:
"Honestly, to continue growing in every aspect of my life because it's been a long time since I've been this happy. I really want that to motivate me moving forward on every level."

Meagan Good Covers UPSCALE Magazine

Sexy newlywed Meagan Good is covering the August 2012 Issue of Upscale Magazine. In the mag, she dishes about what true power is in her eyes, and how her husband, DeVon Franklin, brought love and healing into her life.  And the gorgeous 30-year-old is determined to show people she hasn't been typecast as the sexy girl every man wants.

On being typecast:
"There were a couple times where the director said 'We really like you, but you're a little bit too sexy.' And I'm like, 'Well, what do I need to do? Wear a turtleneck? You know, loose-fitting clothes?' And they're like "Nah, it's just something that you give off." I don't know that I necessarily believe that. I believe that people, when they have a pre-conceived notion of who you are, and things you've done in the past, sometimes they forget that as an actor you're able to shut off whatever you need to shut off, and you're able to turn on whatever you need to turn on."
On her love for her husband:
"To me there's nothing sexier than a man that loves the Lord. I can't imagine anything more attractive. And then, we just get each other, we don't judge each other. He understands me. His love has brought a lot of healing to a lot of areas that have been really painful for me. "
"Being with someone who is a preacher as well, people tend to try to sensationalize everything you do. So that's definitely been a different experience for me..."
On what true power is:
My definition of power is being able to move, and live, and do the things that you aspire to do and that you believe are part of your purpose to do, without letting other people's opinions or judgements manipulate your direction, without getting discouraged when a door closes, and just kinda having a good sense of self, and knowing who you are, and being strong in your walk with God. All of that, to me, is what power is.
Pick up a copy of the mag for more details.
